I lost my grandfather this week. His name was Peter "Doc" Nguyen. He taught me how to cook, how to throw a punch, and even introduced me to #WWE. After the Vietnam war, he managed to escape a re-education camp. While on the run, he used his knowledge of the ocean currents and took a boat towards the shipping routes until he ran out of gas. While stranded at sea, he got the attention of a trade ship as it was passing by. The ship took him to Japan where he met and stayed with Catholic missionaries. In the 80s, he immigrated to the USA to join the rest of his family in #Louisiana. Before he died, he asked me to scan this film and fix it up for his funeral. He also requested that I share this on the internet so that he can live forever and to let his buddies know that he had made it. #RIP
